Phyllis Chubb
The human mind and its nature have been the focus of my life
academically and professionally. Studies in metaphysics, philosophy,
psychology, and both Western and Eastern astrology have provided a
foundation to understanding the human mind. My goals are to enhance the
personal power and creativity of each individual. Only through self
knowledge can the creativity and goal attainment of each individual be
achieved. As an astrologer I counsel people; as a counselor a person’s birth
chart provides insight. I have taught and lectured in the States and India
and have an international clientele.

Bea
Lorimer
Australian born, Bea
Lorimer has lived in Vancouver all her adult life. After high
school, Bea spent 20 years working in the music industry; touring
with artists like k.d Lang, The Tragically Hip and Diana Krall. In
between tours she immersed herself in art study at Emily Carr and
Langara in Vancouver, Julian Ashton in Sydney, Australia and any
workshops or night classes in between. In 2002, Bea became a mother
and stopped touring, finally being able to devote more time to her
painting. Since moving to the Comox Valley in 2004, Bea has had 4
exhibitions of her work.
Recently, Bea has ventured into the teaching realm, where she is
able to share her joy of playing and creating with different
materials. Inspiration comes from texture, color and the natural
patterns in our environment and nature. She's also inspired by the
"mark making" of Joan Miro, Australian Aboriginal painters, and
other primitive folk artists. Bea's choice of materials include
acrylic paint, plaster, pastel, Ink, recycled papers and old
paintings. "I love the layering and building process, getting your
hands dirty and exploring in mixed medium"
