philosophy behind each service and every product at BACK TO BASICS is
that we need to return to our roots, back to the basics, in order to
encourage and sustain a healthy environment - both our immediate
environment, ie. our bodies, our mental and physical states of being,
and our surroundings - for ourselves and our loved ones. Much of what I
do is based on a firm belief and strong faith in traditional wisdoms:
the centuries-old tradition of herbal medicine, the eternal knowledge of
the power of touch, and the timeless wisdom of those (women) who have
throughout history chosen to heal, support and mother pregnant, birthing
and nurturing women. Above all, I believe in a gentle and simple path to
health, from healthy beginnings and onwards throughout life’s travels.
Herbal Health Care
As a
certified therapeutic herbalist (studies under David Hoffmann, The
Holistic Herbal, etc.), I offer a herbal consulting service to those
interested in alternative therapies or simply a more natural path to
health. All of my herbal products are made with herbs that I have either
grown or ethically wildcrafted, or from purchased organic herbs and
grains. I work in the Wise Woman Tradition, with local plants and
materials whenever possible and try to tread as gently as possible on
Mother Earth.
